Iceni Crow Pendant (PE1548)

This pendant is newly carved into a detailed Crow's head. Crows are considered to be birds of prophecy and visions. Like the shaman, they are said to look with one eye into the conscious world and with one eye into the inner world and see beneath the surface.

The wood is beautifully dark bog oak from the Celtic tribal lands of Britain once walked by the Iceni queen, Boudica. The wood is around 2,300 years old, dating back to the time of the Iron Age.

Bog oak, by its very nature is always an ancient wood. It is a term used for wood which dates from hundreds, to thousands, of years ago and which has been naturally preserved in wet ground. The tannins gradually stain the wood a dark colour ranging from rich browns through to the deepest black.

The crow is filled with our Druid's herb blend and includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of mistletoe.

The piece is a little smaller and flatter than our crow dream amulets so is more suited to being worn as a pendant. It is supplied with a cotton cord or leather thong - please add a note in the message box during checkout if you have a preference.
