White River Willow Ogham Staves (D244)
This wonderful ogham set contains the original 20 ogham staves, carved from tactile willow wood. Willow is a strongly feminine tree, associated with water, and considered to strengthen intuition and give inspiration.
The wood was gathered with respect from an ancient spring in southern Britain, held sacred for millennia and with links to the Old Ways and associations with fertility. The spring is one of the sources of the River Itchen whose name has connections with a pre-Roman Goddess, Ica. Very little written information exists about her today, but Ica is a Goddess truly of the ancient land in this area and there is still a strong sense of her at the spring. Real magick, old magick is still to be found in the energies of this place.
The set is supplied with a simple cotton bag for storage, a guide to starting out with casting for divination, an information sheet with the ogham meanings, and an information sheet about how to care for your staves. The sheets can be in PDF format for easy printing (recommended, and they're replaceable when they get lost!), or paper for gift-giving - please add a note in the message box during checkout if you wish to have a paper copy.
