Tree Calendar ring pendant (PE1436)

£80.00 GBP Past item

This ancient bog oak piece is carved into a Tree Calendar ring pendant. Around the edge of the ring there are thirteen plugs made up of one each of the thirteen different Celtic tree calendar woods in a clockwise order - birch, rowan, willow, alder, ash, hawthorn, oak, holly, hazel, apple, blackthorn, yew and elder. A plug of mistletoe on the back of the pendant (last photo) marks birch, the first of the calendar woods.

The wood forming the main ring is beautifully dark bog oak from the Celtic tribal lands of Britain once walked by the Iceni queen, Boudicca. It's around 2,300 years old, dating back to the time of the Iron Age and feels full of positive energies. It is supplied with cord or leather thong - if you have a preference, please add a note in the message box during checkout.
