Stonehenge Thorn box (TH088)
This unusual box is handcrafted from blackthorn wood which was carefully and respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the ancient site of Stonehenge in southern Britain.
It has the beautifully textured bark left intact and is finished with a bog oak lid. The bog oak is from Suffolk and dates back to the Celtic Iron age, so is around 2,300 years old. The area is known for its connection to the Iceni, a tribe who inhabited the area in prehistory - their infamous queen was Boudica, well-known for fighting the invading Roman army.
This reusable box can be supplied filled with blackthorns if wished and is also suitable for keeping dried herbs or other small spell items. Blackthorns are traditionally used in many types of magick and spells but can be difficult to source. If you would like some included with your box, please add a note in the message box during checkout.
