Stonehenge Holly Wolf Spirit Pendant (PE1764)

This piece is newly carved into a Celtic stylised Wolf Spirit pendant from holly wood which was carefully and respectfully gathered from the land surrounding Stonehenge in southern Britain. The piece feels full of positive energies. Holly is considered to be a masculine tree of warrior magick and spiritual strength.

This particular piece of holly has been seasoned for around five years, and is part of a larger block used recently for a custom order. There is enough of the wood left for possibly three or four more wolves, making this the first of a rather special limited edition wolf pack that will be released for sale over the coming weeks.

The wolf is an animal which has long been regarded with awe. Ceridwen, the Celtic moon and fertility Goddess was associated with wolves and there are many myths and legends about the wolf being a close companion of humans and tales of nurture. Conversely, the wolf's ferocity is also well told, reminding us of their power. The wolf has associations with the moon, wisdom and in Celtic lore, also with winter from Samhain to Imbolc.

The pendant is filled with dried white horehound, dried fly agaric, and Stonehenge-area mugwort. White horehound is considered to be one of the best plants to use for warding off evil spirits and keeping negativity away, and is well-known for it's use against hexes and curses. Fly agaric is a famous fungi known from mythology and fairy tales, and is considered to have strong associations with witchcraft and the Fae.

Mugwort has been used for millennia to to aid clairvoyance, lucid dreaming and astral projection. Our ancestors drank tea made from the leaves and it has also been used in incenses or smoked to induce visions. In times past it was considered to act as a protective charm, warding off evil.

The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of heather also gathered from the land surrounding Stonehenge.

A bindrune for protection has been added to the back, and this can be seen in the last photo.
