Stonehenge Hazel Tree Spirit (TS095)

This beautiful Tree Spirit figure has been created from a piece of hazel wood which was gathered with respect and care from the land surrounding Stonehenge in southern Britain.

The figure is incredibly tactile, so feels good to gently hold during meditation or for ritual use. It feels full of positive energies.

The figure is adorned with a simple deer bone bead, a string of dried rowan berries, and jasper from Doggerland. A red ochred animal bone has been added. The red ochre is from a traditional source, the Luberon mountains in France.

A woven cloak, raven and kestrel feathers, and a medicine bag complete the figure. The bag contains dried rowan berries, traditionally associated with protection, and our protective herb blend, created from herbs which are traditionally considered to aid protection and bring energies of peace.

The figure itself is filled with dried betony and enchanter's nightshade.

Betony is traditionally associated with protection, both of the area surrounding it, and of the person carrying or wearing it. If placed beneath the pillow, it's considered to protect the sleeper against nightmares. It's also associated with dispelling negativity and soothing tensions.

Enchanter's nightshade has long associations with witchcraft and sorcery. It's considered to aid inner conflict and has been traditionally used to find balance by bringing opposites together. Binding, hexing and enchantment is also associated with this beautiful herb.

The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of ancient Suffolk bog oak.

The base of the figure has a bindrune for ancestral connection added and this can be seen in the last photo.
