Saxon Yew Kindred Spirit (KS098)

This Kindred Spirit figure has been newly created from windfallen yew from a still-living tree. The tree has been growing for over a thousand years, dating back to the Saxon Age.

The wood was carefully gathered from a beautiful holloway, a lane walked by people dating back into the mists of time (read more here). The wood is a beautifully warm colour and feels full of positive energies.

The figure is filled with our protective herb blend which includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of blackthorn which was carefully gathered at the time of the first harvest, known in the Pagan calendar as Lammas.

The free-standing figure is incredibly tactile, so feels good to hold during meditation or for ritual use. The front has a smoothed area where your thumb naturally sits.

The last photo shows the base of the figure which has a bindrune for ancestral connection added.
