Protective Spirit Amulets (PS068)

These simply shaped Protective Spirit amulets have been newly created from bog oak.

#1 is made from beautifully dark Fenland bog oak from Suffolk which is around 2,300 years old, dating back to the time of the Iron Age.

#2 is made from 3,000 year old bog oak from the Glastonbury area of southern Britain, the fabled Isle of Avalon. This wood has more brown tones and some lighter streaks.

Both pieces feel full of positive energies.

There is a sense that the amulets invite being held, making them perfectly suited for holding during meditation or sleep. Alternatively, they are just the right size for slipping into a pocket and holding in the hand whilst walking. For carrying in pockets, or for use whilst sleeping, we recommend popping the amulet into a small protective bag.

They are filled with our protective herb blend which includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of blackthorn which was carefully gathered at the time of the Spring Equinox.

The eyes are finished with garnets, and the back of each figure has Old Norse runic script saying "Til verja", meaning to protect. The base has a bindrune for protection added.
