Mistletoe Moon pendants *Rare* (PE1468) (Prices vary)
Each of these smooth, tactile pendants is carved to represent a moon. They are both carved from locally gathered mistletoe which was considered to be sacred to the Druids. Mistletoe was once known as "Druad-las" meaning "the Druid's plant" and traditionally was cut from the sacred oak at midwinter.
Finding pieces of mistletoe of this size is unusual and the larger pendant (#2) is the largest piece we've discovered so far. Super rare and full of such beautiful markings!
Both pendants are filled with our Druid's herb blend and includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of oak, completing this traditional wood pairing.
Pendant #2, on the right, has seven plugs of oak wood added around the edge (shown in photo 4) and is a noticeably large, chunky and beautiful pendant. It has a definite air of ritual and would most likely make a wonderful statement piece rather than everyday wear.
