Little Wolf Pendant for Protection (PE1883)
This piece is newly carved into a little Celtic stylised wolf pendant from the root of a windfallen ancient oak. The tree grew within a beautiful holloway, a lane walked by people dating back into the mists of time (read more here). The piece contains a wonderful range of warm tones within the wood.
The wolf has long been a symbol of both awe and reverence. In Celtic tradition, the moon and fertility Goddess Ceridwen was closely associated with wolves, and many myths and legends tell of the wolf as a steadfast companion to humans, embodying both nurturing care and untamed spirit. The wolf's fierce nature also reminds us of its immense power and strength. Revered for its connection to the moon, wisdom, and winter, the wolf plays a key role in Celtic lore, particularly from Samhain to Imbolc, marking the cycles of nature and the changing seasons.
The pendant is filled with our protective herb blend which includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of Winter Solstice-gathered blackthorn.
A bindrune for protection has been added to the back of the pendant and this can be seen in the last photo.
