Irish Moon pendant (PE1490)

This smooth, tactile moon pendant is carved from ancient Irish bog oak.

Bog oak, by its very nature is always an ancient wood. It is a term used for wood which dates from hundreds, to thousands, of years ago and which has been naturally preserved in wet ground. The tannins gradually stain the wood a dark colour ranging from rich browns through to the deepest black.

The bog oak which this pendant is crafted from is around 2,300 years old and dates back to the Iron Age. It is particularly dark in colour and feels full of positive energies.

The pendant is filled with our Druid's herb blend and includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of mistletoe, traditionally considered to be a sacred plant of the Druids.
