Irish Bog Yew Raven Amulet (DAM578)
This dream amulet is newly carved from ancient bog yew into a detailed Raven's head. Ravens have strong associations with the Celtic God Bran who has both underworld and solar connections and they also have further links with water and prophecy.
The wood is beautifully rich-coloured Irish bog yew wood which is, incredibly, around 5,000 years old. The warm-toned wood feels full of positive energies.
The raven's primary purpose is for hanging near the bed for a dream charm or in a special corner to encourage positive energies into your home.
The amulet is adorned with a piece of quartz, jet, and a string of dried Welsh sloes. A medicine bag and raven feathers complete the amulet.
The medicine bag is filled with our protective herb blend, created from herbs which are traditionally considered to aid protection and bring energies of peace. The bag also contains dried rowan berries, traditionally associated with protection.
The raven itself is filled with dried mugwort, and fly agaric. Mugwort has been used for millennia to to aid clairvoyance, lucid dreaming and astral projection. Our ancestors drank tea made from the leaves and it has also been used in incenses or smoked to induce visions. In times past it was considered to act as a protective charm, warding off evil.
Fly agaric is a famous fungi known from mythology and fairy tales, and is considered to have strong associations with witchcraft and the Fae. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of blackthorn gathered at the time of Yule.
This amulet is infused with the energies of this potent ancient herb blend from inside and will make an excellent guide to aid you on your dream journeys.
