Glastonbury Kindred Protective Spirit (PS066)

This simply shaped Kindred Protective Spirit amulet has been newly created from naturally preserved bog oak which is around 2,300 years old, dating back to the Iron Age. The wood is from the area of the Somerset Levels near Glastonbury, the fabled Isle of Avalon.

There is a sense that the amulet invites being held, making it perfectly suited for holding during meditation or sleep. Alternatively, it is just the right size for slipping into a pocket and holding in the hand whilst walking. It's recommended that the amulet is placed into a small, soft bag (a cotton drawstring bag is ideal) to protect it when carried, etc.

The piece is filled with a protective herb blend which includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of blackthorn which was carefully gathered at the time of Samhain.

The back of the figure has Old Norse runic script saying "Til verja", meaning to protect.
