Forest Friend Mistletoe Owl Bead (PE1537)

This beautiful bead pendant is carved into an owl. Owls are traditionally associated with dreams and night journeys. It has been carved from locally gathered mistletoe. Mistletoe was once considered sacred to the Druids and was known as "Druad-las" meaning "the Druid's plant". The wood is very tactile and contains a range of beautifully warm colours and varied markings.

The owl will hang horizontally when threaded and is supplied with cotton cord or leather thonging - if you have a preference please add a note in the message box during checkout.
