Fenland Raven Amulet (DAM581)

This dream amulet is newly carved into a detailed Raven's head. Ravens have strong associations with the Celtic God Bran who has both underworld and solar connections and they also have further links with water and prophecy.

The wood is Fenland bog oak which is around 2,300 years old, dating back to the time of the Iron Age. It is beautifully rich and deep in colour, and feels full of positive energies.

The raven's primary purpose is for hanging near the bed for a dream charm or in a special corner to encourage positive energies into your home.

The amulet is adorned with a piece of quartz, a simple deer bone bead, and a Hampshire hazelnut with a spiral added, an ancient symbol of life and lifeforce. A medicine bag and raven feathers complete the amulet.

The medicine bag is filled with our protective herb blend, created from herbs which are traditionally considered to aid protection and bring energies of peace. The bag also contains dried rowan berries, traditionally associated with protection.

The raven itself is filled with dried white horehound, and dried fly agaric. White horehound is considered to be one of the best plants to use for warding off evil spirits and keeping negativity away, and is well-known for it's use against hexes and curses. Fly agaric is a famous fungi known from mythology and fairy tales, and is considered to have strong associations with witchcraft and the Fae. The herbs are sealed inside the raven with a plug of blackthorn which was carefully gathered at the time of Imbolc.
