Fenland Bog Oak Kindred Spirit Figure (KS121)
This Kindred Spirit figure has been newly created from beautifully dark Fenland bog oak from the Suffolk area which is around 2,300 years old, dating back to the time of the Iron Age. It feels full of positive energies.
The free-standing figure is incredibly tactile, so feels good to hold during meditation or for ritual use. It is filled with dried white horehound, and Stonehenge-area mugwort. White horehound is considered to be one of the best plants to use for warding off evil spirits and keeping negativity away, and is well-known for its use against hexes and curses.
Mugwort has been used for millennia to to aid clairvoyance, lucid dreaming and astral projection. Our ancestors drank tea made from the leaves and it has also been used in incenses or smoked to induce visions. In times past it was considered to act as a protective charm, warding off evil.
The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of heather also gathered from the land surrounding Stonehenge.
The back of the figure has Old Norse runic script saying "Til verja", meaning to protect. The base of the figure has a bindrune for protection added. The bindrune and the runic script are both shown in the last two photos.
