Avalonian Raven Moon Pendant (PE1814)
This pendant is carved into a detailed Raven Moon, slightly larger than most of our previous ones. Ravens have strong associations with the Celtic God Bran who has both underworld and solar connections and they also have further links with water and prophecy.
The raven is made from bog oak, from the area of the Somerset Levels near Glastonbury, the fabled Isle of Avalon. The wood is approximately 3,200 years old, dating back to the Iron Age, and is a beautifully deep, rich colour.
It's predominantly black in appearance, but may contain some warm brown streaks, and it feels full of positive energies.
If you have a preference between cotton cord or leather thonging please add a note in the message box during checkout (or you can simply email [email protected] afterwards).
Pendant size: 2.25 inches/ 6 cm across (approx.)
This is larger than most of our pendants so may, depending on your personal preference, be more suited to ritual wear than for every day. For the best idea of scale please see the last photo showing the pendant against a woman's average-sized hand.
