Avalonian Protective Spirit Amulets (PS044)

These simply shaped Protective Spirit amulets have been newly crafted from wood from the area of the Somerset Levels near Glastonbury, the fabled Isle of Avalon. The wood is around 2,300 years old, dating back to the time of the Iron Age, and feels full of positive energies.

There is a sense that the amulets invite being held, making them perfectly suited for holding during meditation or sleep. Alternatively, they are just the right size for slipping into a pocket and holding in the hand whilst walking.

The pieces are each filled with a protective herb blend which includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of blackthorn which was carefully gathered at the Summer Solstice.

The eyes are finished with garnets, and the back of each figure has Old Norse runic script saying "Til verja", meaning to protect.
