Holloway Hazel Ogham Staves (D243)

These wonderful ogham sets contain the original 20 ogham staves, carved from tactile hazel wood. Hazel has strong associations in mythology with knowledge and the gaining of wisdom. It was sacred to the Celts and is associated with springs and wells.

The wood was gathered with respect and care from an ancient holloway, in southern Britain, from the side of a Bronze Age barrow. The energies of this place, perhaps mingled with the energies of the ancestors who dwell there, feel both old and peaceful.

Each set is supplied with:

- Simple cotton bag for storage
- Guide to starting out with casting for divination
- Information sheet with the ogham meanings
- Information sheet about how to care for your staves

The sheets can be in PDF format for easy printing (recommended, and they're replaceable when they get lost!), or paper for gift-giving - please add a note in the message box during checkout if you wish to have a paper copy.
