Saxon Yew Kindred Tree Spirit (KS008)

This incredible, naturally shaped Kindred Tree Spirit figure has been created from the root of a windfallen yew tree and is adorned with raven feathers. The tree grew for around a thousand years, dating back to the Saxon times, and the piece contains wonderful shapes and a range of beautiful colours.

The figure has an irregular shape so won't lay flat, but rests more to one side. Please see last photo which shows the back.

The figure is incredibly tactile, so feels good to hold during meditation or for ritual use. It is filled with dried mugwort and betony, soothing herbs from folklore which are traditionally considered to aid protection and dispel negativity. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of blackthorn wood, traditionally considered a plant of magick and secrets.
