Mabon-born Faery ring pendants (PE1458)

£60.00 Past item

These Faery Ring necklaces are each crafted from a ring of ancient bog oak containing some beautiful natural colour variations and markings within the wood. The pendants were created on the Autumn equinox, known as Mabon.

The front of each pendant contains three plugs of wood which are traditionally considered to be the Faery woods: oak, ash and hawthorn. An extra plug of oak is added to the edge to indicate oak, then ash and hawthorn follow in a clockwise manner.

The wood is bog oak, from the area of the Somerset Levels near Glastonbury. It is approximately 2,300 years old, dating back to the Iron Age, and is a beautifully rich colour. The pieces feel full of positive energies and each is supplied with cord or leather thong - if you have a preference, please add a note in the message box during checkout.

Pendant sizes: Just under 1.75 - Just under 2 inches/4.5 - 5 cm across (approx.)
