Herb-Filled Spiral Amulets (PE1592)
These wonderful pieces are newly carved into simple, chunky and tactile amulets, each carved with a spiral, an ancient symbol of life and life force.
The two darker amulets have been newly carved from ancient bog oak from the Glastonbury area of southern Britain, the fabled Isle of Avalon. The wood is around 2,300 years old and dates back to the Iron Age. It is beautifully deep and rich in colour with slightly lighter streaks, and feels full of positive energies.
The two lighter amulets have been carved from locally gathered mistletoe. Mistletoe was once considered sacred to the Druids and was known as "Druad-las" meaning "the Druid's plant". The wood is a beautifully warm colour with wonderful markings.
The amulets are filled with hedge-gathered herbs which have been used since ancient times - our Druid's herb blend. The blend includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside pendants #1 and #2 with a plug of mistletoe, and inside pendants #3 and #4 with a plug of ancient Suffolk bog oak.
The amulets are infused with the energies of this potent ancient herb blend from inside and each is supplied with cotton cord or leather thonging - if you have a preference please add a note in the message box during checkout.
