Fenland Wolf Spirit Pendant (PE1817)

£70.00 GBP Sold Out

This piece is newly carved into a Celtic stylised wolf pendant from beautifully dark Fenland bog oak which is around 2,300 years old. The wood is predominantly black in appearance, but may contain some warm brown streaks.

The wolf is an animal which has long been regarded with awe. Ceridwen, the Celtic moon and fertility Goddess was associated with wolves and there are many myths and legends about the wolf being a close companion of humans and tales of nurture. Conversely, the wolf's ferocity is also well told, reminding us of their power. The wolf has associations with the moon, wisdom and in Celtic lore, also with winter from Samhain to Imbolc.

The pendant is filled with our protective herb blend which includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of blackthorn gathered at the time of the Summer Solstice.

The rune, Ōs, has been added to the back of the pendant, and this can be seen in the last photo. Ōs embodies both “god” or “divinity.” It is strongly associated with Woden and “mouth", which again is related to Woden who uses the breath of life and also the breath of inspiration. It symbolizes communication, inspiration, poetry and knowledge, usually of divine origin. Ōs signifies eloquence and creativity, and can aid you whether seeking poetic inspiration or even connecting with the spirit realm.
