Bog Oak Kindred Tree Spirit (KS028)

This small, simply shaped Kindred Tree Spirit figure has been newly created from naturally preserved British bog oak which is around 2,300 years old, dating back to the Iron Age. The wood is from the East Anglian area of Britain.

The figure is incredibly tactile, so feels good to hold during meditation or for ritual use. It is filled with dried mugwort and betony, soothing herbs from folklore which are traditionally considered to aid protection and dispel negativity.

The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of hazel wood which was respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the ancient, sacred site of Stonehenge in southern Britain.

The last photo shows the back of the figure which is beautifully textured.
