Avalonian Faery ring pendant (PE1349)
This Faery Ring necklace is crafted from a ring of ancient bog oak containing some beautiful natural markings within the wood. The front of the pendant contains three plugs of wood which are traditionally considered to be the Faery woods: oak, ash and hawthorn. The back has Old Norse runic script saying "Til verja", meaning to protect. A small plug of 5,000 year old Irish bog yew wood has been added to the side to show the beginning of the text.
The wood is bog oak, from the area of the Somerset Levels near Glastonbury. It is approximately 3,000 years old, dating back to the Bronze Age, and is a beautifully rich colour. This piece feels full of positive energies and is supplied with cord or leather thong - if you have a preference, please add a note in the message box during checkout.
