Avalonian Faery ring pendant (PE1635)

This Faery Ring necklace is crafted from a ring of ancient bog oak containing some beautiful natural markings within the wood. The front of the pendant contains three plugs of wood which are traditionally considered to be the Faery woods: oak, ash and hawthorn. The back has Old Norse runic script saying "Til verja", meaning to protect.

The wood is bog oak, from the area of the Somerset Levels near Glastonbury. It is approximately 2,300 years old, dating back to the Iron Age, and is a beautifully rich colour.
