Avalonian Crow Amulet (DAM540)

This dream amulet is carved into a detailed Crow's head. Crows are considered to be birds of prophecy and visions. Like the shaman, they are said to look with one eye into the conscious world and with one eye into the inner world and see beneath the surface.

The crow is carved from ancient bog oak from the Glastonbury area of southern Britain, the fabled Isle of Avalon.

Bog oak, by its very nature is always an ancient wood. It is a term used for wood which dates from hundreds, to thousands, of years ago and which has been naturally preserved in wet ground. The tannins gradually stain the wood a dark colour ranging from rich browns through to the deepest black.

The bog oak which this pendant is crafted from is around 2,300 years old and dates back to the Iron Age. It is beautifully warm in colour and feels full of positive energies.

The crow's primary purpose is for hanging near the bed for a dream charm or in a special corner to encourage positive energies into your home. The amulet is adorned with an acorn and a piece of red deer antler, both with a spiral added, an ancient symbol of life and lifeforce. A quartz crystal, a medicine bag containing a soothing blend of dried mugwort and betony, and raven feathers complete the amulet.
