This simple, tactile ring pendant is carved from ancient bog oak. It contains three plugs of wood which are traditionally considered to be the Faery woods: oak, ash and hawthorn and the wood types are added in a clockwise pattern around the front of the pendant.
The edge has runic script which has been translated into Old Norse meaning "Watch over and protect my spirit". A plug of yew wood, from the area of Stonehenge in southern Britain, has been added to the side to show the beginning of the text.
The wood forming the main ring of the pendant is bog oak, from the area of the Sweet Track, a Bronze age trackway in the Somerset Levels near Glastonbury. It is approximately 3,000 years old and is a beautifully rich colour. This piece feels full of positive energies and is supplied with a cord or leather thong - if you have a preference, please add a note in the message box during checkout.
